 This Heart of Mine

My heart has wings
I have felt it's flight
It has flown with yours
into the starry night.

My heart has voice
For I've heard it's song
a continual melody
of where it belongs.

My heart has strength
this is new to it's core
for it once wanted to die
but that was long before

My heart has yours
It's embrace is warm
existing in the heavens
free to love, safe from harm.

~to My Matthew~ My Gift~
Your love is undemanding, a resource and a strength in my life, I shall be eternally grateful to love and have loved as we do. What a precious gift you are to me. I will thank God always for you.
Lovingly,
Whisper

 It Snowed?

Ralph Waldo Emerson:
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Okay, I agree with Waldo but that didn't stand for the two feet of snow that blocked the path of the turnpike this morning.

I remain in MD an extra day, my girls are okay, every one of them was hanging with a friend when I called their cells. (I talk to each of them at least once a day when they are not with me) So it is one more night with the hubby before I leave again.
I always say that I cry coming and going.
This is not an easy life, but it is mine and it is better than the alternatives.
I was going to have an informative, awe-inspiring blog but after a big breakfast, hot shower and warm velour jog set, I am complacent. No, I am sleepy. *sighs and curls up with the puppy* (Hubby is at the store working, slow day today, so I stayed home.)

 Conversation with Best Friend

BF: "So we are going to Vermont for our Vacation this year"

Me: That sounds good, Why Vermont, Skiing?

BF: "Yep, taking sis and her boy friend."

Me: "Awesome. Great Ski resort there?"

BF: "Don't know, Mike * says it is the closest one to the Ben & Jerry's plant."

Me (feeling the enlightenment): Ohhhh! I see now.

BF: "He hopes we get free samples."

Me: 'Nods'

* Foot note: BF's Hubby.

 An Awesome Heart.

My youngest, who is 11, donated her hair after growing it out for two long years to "Locks of Love" at Christmas time. It was completely her own idea to give her long silky blonde locks up. She grew it with the intentions to donate it.
I just got word today that she was interviewed with the school News Paper to encourage others to do the same.
Her hair was to her waist and she had it cut up to her shoulders. She said,"Mom, I don't have a lot to give right now, but I do have nice hair and I should share it." I am so proud of her. She has a generous heart and I am so glad.
Don't worry I will scan the article in my blog when the time arrives.

 A Good Ole Tantrum!

This is a rampage of things I want. I am impatient at times, okay, most of the time. I am like a kid with gifts. Christmas is the worse for me, I love it! I was up before 5 am and was waiting for the kids to wake up, I cheated and actually woke my youngest at 7 thirty, but don't tell the older ones, they dragged out of bed.

Now, back to the post.

1. I want Spring! I want Winter to be over. I am tired of it and have had enough. I don't ski and I only travel and have to deal with it by cleaning off the car and shoveling the driveway.

2. I want Peace for our Countrymen. I hate getting up every morning and know that our boys are still toting guns and dealing with outlandish situations.

3. I want cheaper gas prices (Dammit!)This is just a price gouge for the Government.

4. I want my kids to grow up and think of someone else besides themselves. (I am tongue-in-cheek on this one since this is a tantrum post, but I do concentrate on others mostly.)We have such a selfish society today.

5. I want a Government I can trust. (Okay, far-fetched because I checked out the next list of candidates predicted and was not impressed.) I want a Government comprised of the people, not money hungry whoremongers. (This wouldn't fall under you-get-what-you-pay-for things.)

6. I want a good Mocha latte nearby, not 30 minutes away! (Yes, I know I am all over the place on this post, but hey, it is important.)

7. I want better TV viewing. I am so tired of these television shows geared toward 6 grade education. I loved CSI until they hunted down a gator in the glades and found the shoe of a tennis victim in it's stomach contents. Pl-ease! There is no freakin way to find the exact gator in a 25 mile radius. I shook my head and switched the channel. I didn't even try to patronize them on that one.

8. I want ... hmm... Lunch. (so one will be met today)

Have your rant in the comments. What do you want?
