Dated outside your race?
Yep, I ran the 2 mile and he ran cross country.

Have a one night stand?
Nah, had a couple one time dates.

Hooked up on the first date?
Nope, played hard to get baby.

Singing in the shower?
More in the car with the kids, cuz it annoys them. Ever hear your momma sing 'my hump'? *grins wide*

Spit in someones drink?
Ewww.

Played with Barbies?
Yeah, mine dated 'action figure' GI Joe.

Made someone cry?
Yes, but not intentional and I thought for sure I was aiming for the nail not my brothers thumb.

Lied to a friend?
No way, that would just be lame.

Seen "The Goonies" more than 10 times?
Oh I seen it and once was quite enough.

Played a Computer game for more than 5 hours?
Remember when Zelda first came out?

Yep

Been on stage naked or close to it?
Nah, I got a man for that kind of fun!

Been in a parade?
OH! So we have to visit that again huh?
Being BO Peep at 16 for 4-H does not get you any guys!

Been in a school play?
Nope.

Drank beer?
Um yeah. (renegade days - not much of a drinker now!)
Thus the mooning.

Had my own seat, hard to believe huh?

Been on a plane?
uh huh. Kinda kewl at night.

Been on a cruise?
No, but I paid for my senior girl to take one, When is life fair?

Broken into a house?
Jimmied the lock with my credit card on my first apartment too many times. I was forever locking my keys inside.

Gotten a tattoo?
Never wanted one. Gotta live with that forever and as often as I have changed over the years, that is a dangerous thought.

Gotten piercings?
Two in each ear.

Gotten into a fist fight?
Yeah, stupid kid called my dog ugly.
Poor Buffy was, but he had no right to say that.

Gotten into a shouting match?
Oh my gosh! I grew up with two brothers.
I was hoarse most of my childhood.

Swallowed sea/pool water?
Pool. Marco was never answered with Polo when you had brothers.

Spun yourself in circles to get dizzy on purpose?
Oh come on, what kid didn't, why did we think it was necessary to run when you are done? *looks at scar on knee*

Laughed so hard it hurt?
I have 3 of the funniest kids and a very funny man.
I do this on a regular basis.

Tripped on your own feet?
daily.

Had sex with more than one person in a day?
Never, but I had sex more than once in a day with my hubby. (not that you needed to know that.)

Cried yourself to sleep?
I am a girl remember. I cried when Richie Cunningham moved to Hollywood and he and Fonzie said goodbye, just yesterday. Hey, I never saw that episode!

Cried in public?
Theater count?

Thrown up in public?
Nope. *crosses fingers*

Lied to your parents?
I really didn't know they would figure I was lying every time or I wouldn't have bothered.

Skipped class?
just one?

Cried so hard you stopped breathing?
and died.

Lied somewhere on this survey?
last question.

Here is my doggie that I had as a child.
The image here is not altered, Poor Buffy was not a 'looker' but he loved me and I him. He was a stray puppy that I brought home.
My dad called him Heinze (51 varieties.)

 The Sun is Shining

I haven't posted here in a while, sorry about that.
The days are just full and I have used my spare time to catch a couple of dvds, hone my playstation 3 skills, and read a book.
I am back to walking every day. Shame on me for stopping.
The sun has reactivated my brain and my mood has lightened up considerably. Not that I get down a lot but I notice when I hole up a day or two and don't soak in natural resources, besides water, I am just grumbly.

I have been talking to the family and making arrangements for the summer.
I am excited!
Our summer is going to just a great time.
To blast out of the school days, we are taking the girls to Busch Gardens as soon as they are free!

My brother Mike and his boys are coming to celebrate 4th of July with Matthew, the girls and I.

My oldest daughter is coming down with her best friend Julie for a week.Matthew and I are taking them to NYC since they haven't been there yet. Not sure what we will do while there for a day trip so any suggestions are welcomed.

After the return home, the following week is the Delaware State fair, it is an hour from us and Matthew has purchased Trace Atkins tickets for he and I to attend. Bucky Covington is on the venue as well!

In August my brother Eric and wife are hopping back out to see us on a long weekend and my parents plan to spend a week or more with us that month as well.

The only hard part will be the travel to NY and back to Md the very next day to tote the girls every two weeks, but we enjoy the time together so we crank the music and laugh through 3 states.
They are the sunshine in my life!

Did I mention?
I love summer!!!

Matthew and I have been looking forward to this all year.
Not only us but Lacey too!

Hey Lacey!
Your peoples are visiting!

 SNBC (Saturday Nite Blog Crawl)

Hi all it's been awhile since I've been here.
Ok, like Mon morning the local police were at my front door.
They asked if I could answer a couple of questions for them. I said sure but was very curious what was was going on. They said last nite someone was going through peoples cars and trucks and asked if mine had been bothered. I put on my shoes and headed out knowing my vehicles were locked up tight. Nope, not a problem here but made me angry and caused me to think about it all week so here is a song I have decided to play for y'all tonite............Blue-Eyed Soul ...the Wikipedia describes blue eyed soul as White soul a term used to describe R&B or Soul music preformed by white artists.Prime examples of blue eyed soul are Hall & Oats, Boz Scaggs, Michael McDonald, and my choice of a song tonite Bobby Caldwell...The song tonite is called Take Me Back. I can remember years gone by our homes, cars, and most everything we owned was kept unlocked and things were never bothered. I miss those days.............enjoy !

Take Me Back To Then - Bobby Caldwell

When i was young
I used to play
On the sand by the bay
What i've got now
I'd give it all away
Just to have some fun

Life was all
I had a ship
And sailed it to the end
Why can't i go there again

Take me back to then
When life was mellow
Where we had golden sun
Take me back, i said
I can't continue
With the world i'm in*

Playing in the park
Every afternoon
I've grown old
Far too soon
Someone please tell me why
I can't be made to see
What good's left in my life
Is this the end of me

There's a tear
For all the dreams
That i left behind
They'll always be on my mind

repeat*

Have a wonderful week all..............Matthew

 A Lion's Heart

I love this story.

(This story is to be told in a new book, written by the Australian John Rendall who, along with his friend Ace Berg, bought Christian from Harrods in 1969.)

The furniture shop was on the King's Road in London. It sold tables, wardrobes, chairs and desks - but anybody peering through its plate-glass window on a Sunday might have noticed something rather more unusual.

Amid all the pine and oak, stretched out languidly on a bench, there was a lion. And it wasn't stuffed.

Christian the lion (named by someone with a Biblical sense of humour) arrived in

Chelsea at a time when the King's Road - home to Mick Jagger - was the very heart of the Swinging Sixties.

For a year, the Big Cat was part of it all, cruising the streets in the back of a Bentley, popping in for lunch at Casserole, a local restaurant, even posing for a Biba fashion advert.

He eventually grew too big to be kept as a pet and was taken to Kenya, where he was rehabilitated into the wild by the 'Lion Man', George Adamson.

The beauty of the video of their reunion with Christian one year later, is that they were told by many that the lion would not remember them, but they were willing to risk that to see him again.
Christain was living in Kenya, had developed a pride of two lioness and pups when they arrived.
Christian was no longer in human contact while they were gone and when they called him, he stood up and walked towards them. This is the actual video of their reunion.

It makes me cry every time.

[I suggest starting the song first then clicking the youtube video, the video has no sound so I found a song that fit well with it.]

They are only a Rabbit Princess for a While

I promote imagination.

As a result, my daughters' play chests were filled with old prom or odd dresses and suits. Birthday requests were swords, pirate patches and wigs.
They wrote and acted out plays and the neighborhood children came and took a role as well, no one was excluded, every character could be written in somehow.
I have laughed harder over some of these productions than I have ever laughed in my life and have rejoiced over some great moral endings and occasionally ironic twists!

This also spilled over into their active play.
At a very young age, Ashli became a super hero. Unfortunately, when you don't have the makings of a cape, a perfect substitute is a hospital gown worn backwards and at four years of age it flows behind you wonderfully. This was all well and good until in the winter; you go shopping and realize that Super girl has worn her ‘cape’ to the supermarket when she removes her coat. Well shopping with 'hospital gown' girl for an hour only gets you odd stares and people asking 'what she had been in for?' and 'hopes she is feeling better'.
This resulted in me getting out my sewing machine and rectifying the situation, which I did fortunately and the purple cape with the rainbow 'A' on the back (which was almost rejected because A is for Ashli which is her pseudo name, but older sister quickly said it stood for Awesome girl..*wipes brow*...Thank you Sarah!) was worn and admired from there on out.

My daughters’ creative minds didn't end there.
As young teens, their clothing were sometimes bright and discolored and their hair was styled in a variety of positions, their makeup could have experienced its own make over and fairy wings were once worn by my oldest and all 5 of her gal pals on an outing to the mall (without mom).
Yes, you heard me right.

This year all that has died out.
Oh, the imagination is still vivid and I see their outlet in art and writings, but their dress code has found a modern but mellowed out style and I don't have to shake my head and wonder what cartoon character they resemble.

After I dropped them off at school this morning, I ran a few errands. In the store, at a line at the cash register, a little girl had on a ballerina dress, rabbit ears and a crown. The mom looked at me with a crooked embarrassed smile.
I bent down and said, "Hello. I have never met you before have I? Who might you be?"
Her smile grew wide and she proudly announced that she was Princess Rabbit!
I asked if the nice lady with her was her mommy and she affirmed with a shake of her head.
I looked at her mom and said, "You are so blessed to have a Rabbit Princess for a daughter."
Her mom laughed and they paid for their goods and as they left, Princess Rabbit turned back and waved. I curtsied and Princess Rabbit skipped away.
I am glad to have made her acquaintance.
