 Doin' the Momma Thing!

It's been a very busy week, doctor check ups, orthadontist runs, Hope work, along with pulling a 3 am shift on an anthropology paper with the oldest daughter.

Anthropology!?

Oh yeah. My baby knows I am a geek and knew I was a good resourse.

She had been working on it quite a bit but between working full time and college full time, she called and asked for me to help her finish her paper.

No worries, I provided Caffeine and insight and by 3 am Thursday morning it was finished.

What?!

Oh yeah.

We slept 3 and a half, very short hours and both headed off in different dirrections.

That night we met up again with a couple of friends for college, which I treated to a home made dinner. Her friends are great! I am quite proud of the company she keeps and they were delighted to have something other than cereal, grilled cheese, spagettio's or ramon noodles!

I hooked them up with prime rib, mashed potatoes and corn on the cob.

Oh yeah, 'that's what I'm talkin about'.

I got some shut eye and am headed to get my momma and bring her back to NY with me. Dad is going to be gone til Sunday and I found mom will be alone so I am going to go get her and bring her back with me! It's a little over 2 hours one way. The girls and I are excited, we love her to pieces.

I am hoping to catch up with you all next week. Hopefully life will be calmer.

OH! Matthew was able to get us Brad Paisley tickets for the Delaware State Fair this July! Brad will be joined by Kelly Pickler, Taylor Swift and Jack Ingrim. Sweeeet!

I will catch you all soon!!

 Saturday Nite Blog Crawl

Hi all I guess its time for SNBC. I don't have anything much to say this week but just want to give you this song that was on my heart this week. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Simon and Garfunkel have been a huge part of my life for many years.
Kathy's Song
------Simon and Garfunkel

I hear the drizzle of the rain
Like a memory it falls
Soft and warm continuing
Tapping on my roof and walls.

And from the shelter of my mind
Through the window of my eyes
I gaze beyond the rain-drenched streets
To England where my heart lies.

My mind's distracted and diffused
My thoughts are many miles away
They lie with you when you're asleep
And kiss you when you start your day.

And a song I was writing is left undone
I don't know why I spend my time
Writing songs I can't believe
With words that tear and strain to rhyme.

And so you see I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.

And as I watch the drops of rain
Weave their weary paths and die
I know that I am like the rain
There but for the grace of you go I.

Have a great week bloggers...............take care, Mr Wiskers ~ ~ ~(Matthew)//~

 Are You Interested?

I was doing some trolling and found this article about how to write an interesting blog post and thought I would share so we all can learn.

1. Minimize your personal life — but don't ignore it.
Ah, well, that is not hard to do since this week was a crazy work week, but Matthew and I did get to Ocean City and Play for a bit. It was quite funny because the hour it took to get there the temperature dropped from short and shirts to "I am freezing my butt off!!" I got a great sweat shirt out of the deal and I ruled in the arcade. Mainly Matthew is the Arcade King, but not this Wednesday I Ruled!!
*rereads* Pretty minimal but not ignored.

2. People want to hear about success.
*thinks a moment*
Matthew and I are getting a new roof put on the house all this week. Because of it I have been up bright and early to be showered and dressed before the banging.
After a week of rain we finally get to hear the pounding!

3. People want to hear what they have to do to be successful.
Well, It's all what you describe as success.
I find success is when I have done my very best and don't have regrets.

4. Linking to other bloggers is a very good idea.
I so Book Marked you!

5. If everyone else reported it, put a really good spin on it, or ignore it.
I'm ignoring this one, it's been done.

6. Use images!
TA-DA!

7. Create controversy.
Enough Said!

and
8.No Second Guessing....
*thinks* Good Grief!
Second guessing everything you say doesn’t make for a good read. Blogging is the exact opposite of a scientific journal. You write what you feel, when you feel it. If the information is wrong, so be it. Despite a handful of grammar polyps most of your readers aren’t interested in reading an English masterpiece.

Hope this helps.
Although, I still don't know what to write about.

 Saturday Night Blog Crawl

Hi all, this is Matthew for another installment of the Saturday night blog crawl ( SNBC ). It was a long day at work so I really don't have much to say tonight. There is a picture and a song I would like to share with y'all though. Here is the picture.
And people think us *meat cutters* can't be creative. ha ha ha..Actually I have sold these for Valentines Day before....keep me in mind next year...ok ok here is the song I have chose for you tonite.

HEART OF MINE
Boz Scaggs

ONE DAY YOU MAY FIND TRUE LOVE THAT WILL LAST FOREVER AND EVER
TILL THEN YOU'LL SPEND A LIFETIME WISHING ONE TOGETHER
YOU NEVER THOUGHT SHE'D SAY GOODBYE
AND YOU'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND THE REASONS WHY

HEART OF MINE
HOW WILL YOU KEEP FROM DYING
STOP REMINISCING WHO IS SHE KISSING?
HEART OF MINE
OH WHAT'S THE USE IN TRYING
NO ONE CAN MEND YOU NOW

LOVE PLAYS CRUEL GAMES
YOU CAN'T BELIEVE SHE'S FOUND ANOTHER LOVER
"DOES SHE MISS ME?"
SOMETIMES YOU JUST CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER
NO, YOU CAN'T HOLD THE HANDS OF TIME
AND YOU'LL ALWAYS BE THE ONE SHE LEFT BEHIND

HEART OF MINE
ETC.....

I have always loved this song and I hope you enjoy it as well. Have a great nite and wonderful week. Take care...

From Polar B to Me ~

Polar B does this most Fridays, here are my answers, play along!

1. What would the child you once were think of the adult you have become?

We would get along great since the child in me is still here often!

2. If you knew that there would be a nuclear war in one week, what would you do?

Share my Faith and Hope.

3. After you die you are given the chance to be reborn as an animal, which animal would you chose?

Ummm....Not a hamster...not a dog..not a chicken...no snake...ewww...I don't know. Maybe an Eagle, great view from up there.

4. Given the ability to project yourself into the past but not return, would you do so? Where would you go?

Nope, I am content just taking one step at a time baby.

5. If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one ability or quality, what would it be?

Even better insight to help people.

6. You are given a chance to be reborn and chose your gender. Would you be the same sex you are now?

Yep. I already know the deal.
Although that peeing anywhere thing makes life easier.

7. If you could pick any age and stay there for the rest of your life, what age would you pick?

I think probably 35, but I want to be where I am now, not go back.

8. What are some of the things you would do if you could become invisible whenever you wanted to?

Hmmm....Get into resticted areas and see what really is going on that I can't go there.

9. If you could replace reality with the world as it is on any current TV show, which would you choose? Which character would you be?

None. Most characters are very one demensional, although Law and order and the CSI's have some kewl characters. So maybe one of them.

10. Would you feel unfaithful if you had frequent fantasies about someone other than your partner?
Yeah, I think I would, not my bag of games.

If your partner were having such fantasies, would you want to know about it? Nope, I am still working on my esteem issue.

11. How many beauty / health products do you use on a daily basis?

Depends how bad I look, but lotion, perfume, a bit of hairspray and mascara are musts.

12. What is the most important thing you’ve accomplished in your life?

I think getting to where I am emotionally is the biggest for me right now. Escaping my abuse, earning my degrees. I am pretty happy in general.

13. What was your most disastrous trip or vacation?

My ex always took us camping and in order to survive I had to go on primatene, benadryl, sudafed, and singulair, and always ended up with bronchitis. Yet we continued to go every year for 17 years.

14. If you could choose only four things to eat or drink ever again, what would they be?

ugh...I love variety..Okay, I will try.

Ice tea, water, Asparagus and Matthew's steaks.

15. What was the most recent movie you cried at?

Bridge to Terribethea. But I just purchased Blood Diamond and heard I will again.

16. A person you don’t particularly like has food stuck between his teeth. Do you tell him?

Yeah, nicely too.

17. After your death, an author will write your biography. What will the title be?

The Share

18. If you could script the basic plot for the dream you will have tonight, what would the story be?

Oh a romantic one with me, Matthew and the ocean!

19. An eccentric millionaire offers to give you one million dollars if you will walk down a busy street - completely naked - for two blocks. There is no danger of being arrested, or physical abuse, would you do it?

Nah. Too much moral basics for it.

20. What things are too personal to discuss with others?

Let's just say, 'I am cautious not to dilute my life.'
