My brother Mike and family are coming to visit us in Maryland. They arrive tonight and leave Monday morning so I wanted to get a head start and wish you all a wonderful Memorial Day's weekend and to enjoy yourself.
To all the men and women who have and are serving in our military forces, I salute you!
Place Any Names of those who have served and are now gone from our presence in the comments for all to see. Please share with us how you knew them. Also you may note any one now serving and would like to hold them in prayer and thoughts.
I am worried about where we are headed so quickly. Lets face some thoughts here. We are always craving the next step and it wasn't until I watched a couple of movies that I had to step back and worry a bit. I love a good horror movie. Yet, I have finally realized that there is a point that I am no longer scared, I am sickened. I bought the Hills Have Eyes, and I could not complete it. It was senseless and just gory to the point that I was disappointed at what is considered entertainment. Nothing is left to the imagination anymore. Nothing is left untouchable and sacred. This is what our teens are absorbing. Remember Jaws? The movie that made us stay out of the water for years? (I couldn't even close my eyes while in the shower after that movie) It has no scare to my children, matter of fact, it looks fake and humorous to them. What about Amusement Parks? It seems like the ride lacks if you aren't risking your life, limb or heart to ride it, then it is considered non-entertainment. I realize that I do love the effects in Lord of the Rings or in the Pirates of the Carribbean, yet am fearful when it comes to desensitizing my child. What will be the thriller in ten years? Will we laugh at Saw like we do at Freddy and Jason? I'm just sayin.
Hi all and welcome to my SNBC post. I don't know if anyone is familiar with The Alan Parsons Project but they have done some awesome songs. Here is one that I would like to play for you tonight. I hope you enjoy.......Old and Wise !

As far as my eyes can see There are shadows approaching me And to those I left behind I wanted you to know You’ve always shared my deepest thoughts You follow where I go
And oh when I’m old and wise Bitter words mean little to me Autumn winds will blow right through me And someday in the mist of time When they asked me if I knew you I’d smile and say you were a friend of mine And the sadness would be lifted from my eyes Oh when I’m old and wise
As far as my eyes can see There are shadows surrounding me And to those I leave behind I want you all to know You’ve always shared my darkest hours I’ll miss you when I go
And oh, when I’m old and wise Heavy words that tossed and blew me Like autumn winds that will blow right through me And someday in the mist of time When they ask you if you knew me Remember that you were a frined of mine As the final curtain falls before my eyes Oh when I’m old and wise
As far as my eyes can see
Have a great night and a wonderful week......Mr Wiskers ( Matthew )
He doesn't know why, which indeed is typical for this self-inflicted boy. I immediately recognized her as she was a household name for my girls when they were growing up. Pippilotta Delicatessa Windowshade Mackrelmint Eprhraim's Daughter Longstocking or Pippy as we all know her, or now know her, is a character that did not have to abide by rules and parented herself. What a wonderful thought for children!
I am offering you a chance to do the same. Be a child again, name yourself by the rules and tell me what you would change to make your world outrageous and fun.

I hope everyone has had a great week. I was in the mood tonight for a little jazz and decided on this track. It's Russ Freeman and the Rippingtons. I love all music as you will find out as time goes on. I hope you enjoy my pick for tonite. All I have to say is the bass player earned his money on this one..........Here ya go...*Black Diamond*
Take care all ....................Mr Wiskers (Matthew)
